The Swaziland Climate Change Programme (SCCP) is a programme being undertaken by the Government of Swaziland as a means of addressing Climate Change issues in the country and as a fulfilment to her commitments to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).

The Meteorological Service, under the Ministry of Tourism and Environmental Affairs, is the country’s focal point for Climate Change, and as such is responsible for implementing the programme. Currently the programme is undertaking “Enabling Activities for the Preparation of Swaziland’s Second National Communication (SNC) to the UNFCCC”. This programme funded by the financial mechanism of the UNFCCC, the Global Environmental Facility (GEF), through one of its implementing agencies, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).

Concurrently, and hand-in-hand with the programme, the Government is also working on establishing a permanent office for climate change in the country.
